Dining Room Re-Do
We've lived in our home for about 4 months now. Slowly but surely we are working on each room, making it our own. The previous owners took excellent care of this house, but a lot of the rooms weren't necessarily our style. Aside from painting a few rooms here and there, the dining room was the first big re-do that we did.
Here are the before pictures:
As you can see, the room was Hunter Green + Cream trim. Plantation shutters (which I know people love, but I don't. Keeping them clean drives me crazy). Also the chandelier was very much outside my style zone.
So, the after:
I used Behr "Very Navy" and then a basic white for the trim. I painted ALL the trim - including the window area + crown moulding. The cream did not work with the Navy. We took down plantation shutters and added some basic grey drapes from IKEA...a new chandelier and I'm in love!
