Cruisin'
I never in MY LIFE thought I would ever go on a cruise. Let's just say that I saw Titanic one to many times (literally 15 times in the theatre) in middle school. There was no way in heck I was about to get on a ship. I've even told Keith that if he ever surprised me with a cruise, I'd let him go alone.
I love it when I eat my own words.
Thanks to Young Living, we earned an all expense paid cruise - and so did 8 of my team members and friends. I couldn't NOT go. So, I put my big girl undies on, took lots of motion sickness meds and hopped on a 4 day cruise to Belize and Honduras.
We had an amazing room with an amazing view. The very back of the ship was our balcony and we literally napped there every.single.day. When people asked me how the cruise was, my response was "well, I ate a lot and slept a lot"...cause really, what else do you do? I brought 3 books to read and only got through 3 pages of the first one. The lull of the ocean and my full belly put me to sleep every time!
One of the highlights of the trip (besides the eating and sleeping of course) was our sloth and monkey adventure. Well, okay, not the monkeys so much - in fact they scared the you-know-what out of me. We basically stood in an enclosure and let little monkeys jump on us and pick bugs out of hair and steal things from our pockets. They were cute, but man - they knew nothing about respecting our personal space 🙈
Ummmmm, if it were up to me, I would have taken that sloth home with me. She was literally THE CUTEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN. Even cuter then my dog - and that's saying something cause Albus is pretty dang cute. She just sat there and slowly moved her head around - smiling. I couldn't handle it. The next time I had wi-fi I looked up "is it legal to have a sloth as a pet in kansas". It is, FYI
Uninterrupted time with besties was the best part of the trip though - even better than Olivia the sloth. I seriously have THE BEST JOB EVER! I get to work with my best friends, go on all expense paid trips, sell products I LOVE...and so much more. Is this real life?
All in all...it was fun. I mean, I'm not sure I'll ever actually PAY to go on a cruise. I'm more of a "lay on the beach and relax" kind of gal, but whatevs. It was a good experience (except for the one night where we literally thought our boat might turn over from the 23 ft. swells happening out on the open sea - yah, that was scary). Other than that - good times
